She followed up the glamorous black and white shot with a more modern-day photograph of herself lighting a cigarette dressed in the same robe.

And she enjoyed a whole day with close pal Melissa as they playfully posed for the camera, with Rihanna dressed in items from her own clothing range for British High Street retailer River Island.

She has been seizing the opportunity to show off her latest designs from her new summer collection - which launches on May 25 - whenever she can.
On Friday she showcased a flirty floral shorts and cropped-camisole twinset in another online snap.
