Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Name Daughter….’North’

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West did the inevitable..gave their daughter a name that will forever get a double take. According to reports from US entertainment site who obtained an exclusive copy of the baby’s birth certificate from the Cedars-Sinai hospital where Kimye’s child was born, baby Kimye will now be known as ‘North West’.

For  months now there have been speculations of what the child’s name would be…from ‘k’ names like ‘Khrist’ to the eventual name of the child ‘North’. Meanwhile, micro-blogging site, Twitter has been agog with reactions ever since news of the baby’s name leaked.

It wouldn’t be the first time a celebrity baby is getting a name that raises eyebrows..Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter is named ‘Apple’, Alicia Keys went with ‘Egypt’, the Beckhams settled for ‘Brooklyn’ and of course who can forget Jay Z and Beyonce’s choice of ‘Blue Ivy’.
